Rehabilitation projects are, in their genesis, an exercise in preservation and adaptation. On the one hand, the existing is preserved, on the other, the buildings are adapted to new experiences and regulatory needs.

The layout of the interior compartments, in particular the definition of social and private spaces, is oriented in an unfavorable way to the city, that is, the existing configuration frames the rooms towards the main avenue of the city and the common and dining room towards an indoor patio common to different buildings. Therefore, the natural relationship that social spaces establish with the noblest views and that private spaces, due to their modesty, establish with outdoor spaces with less exposure to noise is inverted.
