Twin villas with shared architectural identity
This project is a design for two private villas conceived as a single architectural volume when viewed from the outside, while ensuring full privacy and independent use for each home.
The design is organised around a shared entrance patio that preserves an existing stone element on site. This gesture reduces construction costs while anchoring the project in the character of the landscape, turning an existing condition into a central architectural feature.
The site presents significant differences in height. Rather than levelling the terrain, the project takes advantage of the natural topography, using split levels and sectional articulation to minimise excavation and optimise spatial quality.
By working with the land instead of against it, the proposal achieves a balance between construction efficiency, spatial richness, and strong integration with the site. The result is a residential project that combines privacy, identity, and landscape driven design.
